Description

Perched in the hills above Playa Carrillo, just 5 minutes from one of Costa Rica’s most beautiful white-sand and swimmable beaches with warm water, Peaceful Retreat Hotel is a unique boutique property offering breathtaking ocean views, tranquility, and an exceptional lifestyle investment opportunity.

Set on a lush 1.67-acre parcel property within an exclusive luxury community, the hotel enjoys a privileged location surrounded by tropical nature, cool mountain breezes, breathtaking moonrises, and remarkable biodiversity. From sunrise to sunset, the panoramic views stretch across the Pacific coastline from Camaronal to Cabo Blanco, creating an atmosphere of serenity that immediately captivates guests.

Designed as a peaceful sanctuary in harmony with nature, the property currently operates as a boutique-retreat hotel while also offering significant potential for future development. The setting is ideal for expanding into a luxury wellness retreat, yoga center, or spa concept.

The property features 5 ocean-view bungalows, each thoughtfully designed with a minimalist tropical aesthetic combining polished concrete floors, natural stone bathrooms, local wood furniture, and traditional cane ceilings. Every bungalow offers privacy, outdoor terraces or balconies, hammocks, air conditioning, and stunning views of the ocean and surrounding greenery. One unit is designed for families with two separate bedrooms, while the others comfortably accommodate couples or small groups.

The restaurant, offering a full-bar is open to the public except for private gatherings, events, and retreats.

Additional accommodations include a charming two-story owner’s house with 2 bedrooms, a spacious full bathroom including a soak-in tub as well as a walk-in shower, open kitchen, lounge area, and spacious terrace overlooking the ocean, the hills, and the landscape, as well as a separate staff cabin. The lower level of the house offers further development possibilities for additional rooms or living space.

At the heart of the property, the large swimming pool and open-air restaurant create a welcoming social atmosphere for guests and visitors alike. Accommodating up to 30 people, the restaurant is highly appreciated by both travelers and the local community for its peaceful ambiance and spectacular views.

Additionally, there is a designated area for future development of a Yoga Shala, and Event Center just across from the pool, nestled in the trees.

The beautifully landscaped tropical gardens attract birds, butterflies, and wildlife, enhancing the feeling of being immersed in nature while remaining close to beaches, surfing, hiking, biking, horseback riding, canopy tours, restaurants, and the vibrant village of Samara.

Whether you are looking to continue operating a boutique hotel or develop a high-end retreat destination, this remarkable property offers a rare opportunity to invest in one of Costa Rica’s most desirable coastal regions.
